Plan & Execute Deliveries

The Challenge

Package delivery solutions face a myriad of challenges stemming from logistical complexities, technological limitations, and evolving consumer demands. One of the foremost obstacles is the last-mile delivery dilemma, where parcels must traverse the final stretch from distribution centers to customers’ doorsteps efficiently and cost effectively. Urban congestion, unpredictable traffic patterns, and remote rural locations exacerbate this issue, leading to delays and increased operational costs.

Consumer expectations add another layer of complexity, with demands for real-time tracking, flexible delivery options, and eco-friendly practices shaping the competitive landscape. Balancing these diverse needs while maintaining affordability and sustainability remains a constant challenge for package delivery providers.

The Solution

Introducing the future of package delivery: A seamless, efficient, and eco-friendly solution that revolutionizes the way parcels are transported and received. Woolpert’s package delivery solution merges cutting-edge technology with sustainability, ensuring that every delivery is not only timely but also environmentally responsible.

At the core of our solution is an advanced routing algorithm powered by Google. This algorithm optimizes delivery routes in real-time, taking into account factors such as traffic patterns, package size, and delivery preferences. By dynamically adjusting routes, delivery times are minimized and fuel consumption reduced, contributing to higher ROI and a greener planet.

Plan & Execute Trips

The Challenge
Juggling efficiency and customer satisfaction in the ride-sharing world is a constant battle. Finding optimal routes for a mix of scheduled and on-demand trips while ensuring on-time pickups and drop-offs is a complex equation. Maintaining a happy driver base is also crucial, and offering the familiar and trusted Google Maps navigation within the app is a top priority. However, customers explore multiple providers and solutions, even attempting to build an Uber-like experience in-house, but cannot find the perfect fit. Customers need the essential building blocks to create a seamless and efficient ride-sharing experience for both drivers and passengers. We can help bridge that gap.
The Solution

Customers can stop scrambling to create last-minute routes and manage on-demand chaos. Our solution provides a powerful one-two punch for ride-sharing operations.

First, customers experience the efficiency of automated next-day route planning for scheduled rides. This ensures optimal driver utilization and on-time pick-ups. Second, they leverage our intelligent driver-rider matching engine for on-demand trips. This system pairs riders with the closest available driver who meets specific criteria, minimizing wait times and maximizing driver earnings.

Real-time updates are key. Our system constantly circulates the most accurate ETAs to dispatchers, customers, and drivers, keeping everyone informed. And when the unexpected happens, customers can be prepared. The system adapts seamlessly to handle last-minute changes, from morning-of schedule adjustments to minute-by-minute disruptions, ensuring a smooth and stress-free experience for everyone involved.

Optimize a Mobile Workforce

The Challenge
Designing schedules for a field workforce that considers a host of constraints while keeping costs down and customers happy is difficult. Add to that the chaos that ensues throughout the workday, such as new and canceled tasks, traffic, and employee no-shows, and it can seem like a lost cause.
The Solution
We help customers create efficient routes and sensible daily schedules for field personnel. They can assign daily itineraries to drivers and push mobile notifications. Strategic planning and territory assignment, as well as day-of execution, can be performed with the necessary tools to react to any “chaos” on the fly. We leverage a variety of approaches including operations research techniques, machine learning, and Google technologies like OR Tools and Vertex AI.
