Working With Woolpert
Woolpert’s expertise and ongoing support were instrumental in MedSpeed’s successful transition to Google services. Weekly engagements ensured that the right solutions were implemented, and Woolpert’s close collaboration helped escalate feature requests directly to Google. As Jim Van Duyn, CIO at MedSpeed, stated, “Woolpert’s expertise has been invaluable in shaping our technology roadmap. They’ve provided exceptional support. We couldn’t have asked for a better partner.”
The Solution
MedSpeed partnered with Woolpert Digital Innovations to replace their TMS by integrating Google Maps Platform into a custom-built route management system within their ERP system. This hybrid “build-and-buy” approach combined internal development with Google’s advanced geolocation services. Woolpert’s team worked closely with MedSpeed to seamlessly integrate several Google Maps Platform APIs, including Geocoding, Directions, and Distance Matrix, which enabled real-time routing, accurate mileage calculations, and instant location updates.
The transition also enabled MedSpeed to consolidate logistics management into Salesforce, further streamlining their operations. The new Google powered system also improved speed and visibility of routing updates, enhancing efficiency.
